Product Spotlight: Globaljig Super Rotax
From computerized measuring systems to aluminum welders, our lineup of body shop equipment helps you perform the best repairs for your customers, and as vehicle designs continue to change, we’re always looking for more ways to help you stay ahead of the curve. Our new partnership with Globaljig does just that.
Chief and Globaljig both have a long history of serving the collision market with quality products, so it makes a lot of sense to partner with them. The new distribution agreement helps us round out the product options for our North American customers with simple, fast and easy-to-use bench and fixture system that have a long list of OEM approvals.
Globaljig’s universal fixture systems, benches and other European-style repair equipment are now available via Chief’s distributors. That makes life a little simpler for you, as you work with one source for all your equipment needs. And having those touch points for support after the sale is huge. Globaljig’s systems are manufactured in Italy, but you’ll find Chief-level support for them right here at home.
So what exactly is available to you thanks to the partnership? Today, let’s get acquainted with the Super Rotax.
The Super Rotax is a highly advanced pulling system that’s still dead simple to use. This drive-on light-duty scissor lift unit is complete with a bench and universal pulling jig. What makes it so simple to use? For starters, the ability to dial in the position of the car on the bench after it’s mounted. Techs can move the car and the fixtures to align everything after the car is loaded. With similar models, you’ll have to position the car precisely on your own, which can be very difficult and time consuming.
When it comes to pulling, the towers slide freely around the bench, so you’ll never have to dismount, move or re-mount them. And it works in conjunction with Chief’s measuring systems, which means you can get both a pre- and post-repair printout detailing the car’s condition.
The Super Rotax is simple to operate but that doesn’t mean its features are limited. Both advanced and versatile, it can be used as a conventional frame machine for unitized cars, SUVs and light-duty trucks, plus it can properly hold the new generations of chassis with aluminum and exotic metals. On top of all that, it has certification approvals from Tesla, Maserati, Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin, making it an easy choice for certified repair programs.
In short, the Super Rotax harnesses some very complex capabilities in an easy-to-use OEM-approved system, and we’re excited to add it to our family of body shop equipment options.
