Two-Post Lifts
We Invented the Hydraulic Automotive Lift & Lead the Industry in Revolutionizing It.
We have helped techs overcome the hurdles thrown at their shops for 100 years. Time is everything. A slower lift makes a slower tech. That's why we developed the world's fastest two-post lift to help you service more clients daily.
Symmetrical vs. Asymmetrical
Designed to provide undercarriage access with a wheels-free vehicle lift, symmetrical and assymetric lifts are incredible additions to the shop floor. Several factors can determine which lift type best suits your shop.
The Center of Balance
The location of a vehicle’s center of balance defines whether a lift is symmetrical or asymmetrical. A symmetric lift places a vehicle’s center of balance in line with its columns while deploying its arms at an equal length when engaging a vehicle. An asymmetric lift places a vehicle’s center of balance to the rear of its 30-degree rotated columns while deploying its arms at two different lengths when engaging a vehicle, enabling technicians to access the vehicle’s interior through greater door access.
Applications
Symmetric lifts are ideal for lifting trucks and commercial vehicles because their greater drive-through clearance and weight-centered approach can handle larger vehicles with greater loads (10,000 - 18,000 lbs). Asymmetric lifts are an excellent option for technicians who need regular access to vehicle interiors, including cars, small trucks, and passenger vehicles. The capacity of assymetric lifts ranges from 7,000 to 10,000 lbs.
Testing & Safety
Rotary’s symmetrical and assymetric lifts are tested and certified by third-party safety and performance standards, including the Electrical Testing Laboratories (ELI), the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI), and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
