Course Structure
This course is divided into 5 modules:
- Module 1: Overview
- Module 2: Measuring
- Module 3: No Spec Measurement
- Module 4: Upper Body Bar
- Module 5: Damage Simulator
Each module includes a variety of learning materials, such as video lectures, knowledge checks, and a quiz.
Quiz
To successfully complete this course, you must pass a final assessment. The exam will cover the material from all modules in the course and you will have 3 attempts to pass.

Safety Requirements
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is to be worn at all times while in the shop environment and must meet OSHA and/or ANSI industry standards. The required PPE are:
Protective eyeglasses (provided by Chief)
Face protection where required
Hearing protection (foam earplugs provided by Chief)
Hand protection
Foot protection
Proper clothing for the environment and tasks being performed (no holes or tears in clothing)
Appropriate clothing for the shop environment will be enforced. Some class locations require that all shirts are tucked in to meet the professional standards and expectations of that learning environment. No shorts, flip-flops, or cut-off shirts will be allowed.
Students not wearing the proper clothing and PPE will be asked to meet this safety requirement. If they are not able to or choose not to meet these safety requirements, they will be asked to leave and reschedule to a time when they are able to meet these safety standards.
Cancelation Policy
With a minimum of 10 business days’ notice, whether in writing via email at chiefuniversity@vsgdover.com or by calling an authorized Chief University administrator at 800.445.9262 Ext. 5115:
(1) a full refund will be issued less a $50 processing fee per registrant if you cancel; or
(2) course fees may be applied towards another program held within one (1) year of the cancellation date.
Cancellations made within 10 days of the program start date, including re-scheduling and “no-shows” will be liable for the entire fee. Substitutions of personnel are permitted.
If registering 4 or more participants or you are canceling a privately held class, a 20-day notice of cancellation is required for a full refund, less a processing fee and incurred expenses.
If Chief must cancel a program, you will be notified at least one week before the class start date. Please purchase airline tickets accordingly and check with your travel agent. Chief will not be responsible for non-refundable travel fees.
