Inground Lifts: You have questions. We have answers.

Rotary-Lift-MOD30-with-dump-truck.jpgIf there’s one thing classic television can teach us, it’s that sometimes you need “just the facts.” So if you’re contemplating a new in-ground lift for your shop but you’re still doing a little detective work before you pull the trigger, you’re in the right place. We’ll give you a little history on the in-ground lift (spoiler alert: that history starts with us). Then we’ll let you know what you should look for before your purchase, as well as what you can expect from a Rotary in-ground Lift.

Who invented the inground lift?
Rotary Lift designed and built the first in-ground lift more than 90 years ago. We’ve led the industry in improvements and innovation ever since.

What features make Rotary heavy duty inground lifts better than the competition?
Our attention to detail in every aspect of design, engineering and manufacturing makes a Rotary Lift unlike anything else you can find. It starts with our patented Universal Saddle System for a greater adjustment range and better compatibility with a wide range of adapters so that you can spot hard-to-reach vehicles much faster. Just as important, our standing control console keeps lift operators on their feet and off of the floor to better monitor the lift as it rises and descends. And our recessed designs save you valuable time by providing an unobstructed floor when entering and exiting the bay.

Are your installation and maintenance costs competitive?
Our modular, encapsulated shallow pit design reduces the cost of installation and also reduces the cost of maintenance over the life of the lift.

Can I customize your lifts?
We offer numerous pit, control and adapter options to meet your shop’s specific needs.

Are your in-ground lifts environmentally friendly?
“Environmentally friendly” is an understatement. Our in-ground lifts have an encapsulated steel enclosure that’s 6’ deep and sealed with EnviroGuard®.

Where are your in-ground lifts made?
For almost 90 years, Rotary Lifts have been designed, engineered and manufactured in Madison, Indiana. Our MOD30, MOD35 and EFX models are no different. Our Madison employees spend every day crafting superior products that meet our standards and exceed your expectations.

What kind of testing do you perform on your in-ground lifts?
We cycle test our lifts and our lift components for thousands of cycles at a rated load to ensure that our lifts don’t let you down while they get your customers’ vehicles up and down.

Are your in-ground lifts certified?
Nearly all Rotary in-ground lifts are certified by third parties to ensure compliance to the ANSI/ALI ALCTV standard. Look for the Gold Label to ensure the lift you’re purchasing is certified by ETL—the only nationally recognized testing laboratory that manages the ALI program. A lift can’t use the ALI/ETL Gold Label without meeting all testing requirements.
