Power Behind the Pull: Jeff Caddell
What makes for a strong company? Reliable products, good marketing, a solid sales team; all of those for sure, but what about after the sale? Many say how a company takes care of their customers, may be the truest measure of strength. If that holds true, then Chief has some serious power. Our customer service team is second to none, and you encounter it with every call.
Today we talk with Jeff Cadell, customer service representative/inside sales specialist for Chief Automotive. Whether it’s troubleshooting the LaserLock™ measuring system or walking you through the use of our blind rivet attachment, Jeff is ready and willing to help get your shop up and running. So let’s take a few minutes to get to know the guy on the other end of the line.
Q: How long have you been with Chief?
Jeff: I started with Chief in April of 2017, so I am fairly new to the company.
Q: What do you enjoy about your job?
Jeff: The people, even if that is a common answer. It is great to get to work with people who all have some sort of interest in cars, no matter how small or different that interest is, it is still a common ground between us all.
Q: What is your work background in?
Jeff: I work in Customer Service and Inside Sales. I place orders for customers, look up parts, and find out all I can about specific products and questions to make sure that the customer is getting exactly what they want and need.
Q: What is one of the biggest challenges to your job?
Jeff: The biggest challenge in my job is trying to remember what everything does, and the difference between things so I can figure out what the customer on the other end of the phone/ e-mail is looking for.
Q: What is one fun fact about you that people may not know?
Jeff: I have always been a person who enjoy working on motors. Taking things apart to make it faster and louder and spending time with my dad working on his semi, so I am a true “motor head.”
Q: What do you enjoy doing in your time away from work?
Jeff: In my spare time, I enjoy working on cars, watching Formula 1 and drag racing, reading comic books and spending time with my family and my boxer.
Q: Are you a music person or a sports person?
Jeff: The radio in my vehicle is always on Classic Vinyl, but if I am choosing the playlist, Led Zepplelin, Pink Floyd, and Credence are probably all you will get to listen to. I am a College Football fan, the University of Tennessee is the only sports team that I will sit down to watch on T.V.
Q: What product in Chief’s full line do you think is the most interesting or has the most to offer to the customer? Why?
Jeff: If I had to choose a product that is the most interesting, I would have to say the LaserLock™ and all the specifications that come with it. Accidents happen, so to me being able to get a car straightened back out to the way it was before the accident without any guess work is amazing.
